Meet Our Next Presenter: Lisa David Olson

“We don’t have to take ourselves so seriously to take our work seriously.”

Join us as we welcome Lisa David Olson, author, speaker, writer, prank-enthusiast, qnd encourager, for our upcoming BeWell event on the power of humor for wellbeing.

In our final BeWell Series session of 2025, we'll be joined by (Practically) World-Famous Business Humorist, Lisa David Olson, who shows us how humor isn’t just fun, it’s functional. With over two decades of experience helping adults reconnect through laughter, Lisa helps teams reignite communication, enhance connection, and rediscover joy in their work.

Humor That Builds Trust, Sparks Joy, and Inspires Connection

In this interactive session, Lisa will guide participants through the practical use of humor in daily work life. Far from being frivolous, humor can be a strategic tool to elevate conversations, defuse tension, and increase collaboration.

Through exercises in listening, spontaneous creativity, and storytelling, Lisa will demonstrate how humor builds trust and strengthens relationships. Participants will learn how to use humor with intention by respecting individual comfort levels while fostering shared moments of lightness and connection.

Lisa describes humor as “an invisible source to reconnect burned-out teams and reignite stale thinking.” Drawing on her background as both a public servant and professional performer, she brings a unique blend of heart, humor, and real-world experience to every room she enters, virtual or in person.

Lisa’s work is grounded in the belief that laughter truly is healing, and backed by science. Laughter lowers cortisol, boosts endorphins, and helps regulate blood pressure. But perhaps most importantly, it reconnects us to one another. In a world where stress and burnout remain high, humor is a way to remember that we're human, and to invite others back to that same space.

Don’t miss The Art of Humor for Enhanced Communication, part of our 2025 BeWell series. This session is sure to get you thinking about how to cause ripple effects of joy.
